Not only the TB bypass, but there are some hard to reach hoses that fail. Next to the EGR, there are 2 coolant hoses, change em out for silicone. One of mine was so brittle that when I removed the EGR, it hit and SHATTERED one of the coolant lines. You can get to the lines from above with the plenum on, but it's a PITA so do it now. You probably won't be able to get to the 3rd, and biggest PITA coolant line, the DS turbo coolant line that is just above the tranny, but if you get the chance, change it too! While the plenum is off make sure to clean/service the IACV as well and check it's resistance. (The paper gasket will break on removal, have one ready. The intake valve cover gaskets are right there, do them too if they aren't new-ish. Unfortunately, the EGR-to-plenum tubes are in the way, but if you remove them, do the exhaust valve cover gaskets and half-moon plugs as well. (Use the BDE ones) IF you're removing the EGR and the tranny(for the water hose) you will have access to the knock sensor and I'd replace the sub-harness for it and clean the sensor's connector while there. (This can be accessed easily if you're removing the lower plenum too, FYI) Oh, also have brake/clutch booster hoses on hand. If you don't have new ones these usually break when removing them from the plenum nipple. Z1 sells silicone ones for ~1/2 the cost of new rubber OEM.
